Dan Zemanski

Dan Zemanski enters his eighth season as the head coach of the Hiram men's soccer program in 2020 and his 16th at Hiram.

Over his seven seasons at the helm of Hiram men's soccer, Zemanski has coached seven players to All-NCAC honors, including a First Team All-NCAC selection in Tanner Matthews, and, most recently, an NCAC Newcomer of the Year and Second-Team selection, Keagan Le'Roux. 

Alongside former Head Coach Carl Capellas, Zemanski has built the Hiram men's soccer program to be one of the most competitive in the nationally-respected North Coast Athletic Conference.

Prior to joining the Terriers, Zemanski served as the Assistant Boys' Soccer Coach at Hudson High School. He also coached youth soccer with the GFS Soccer Club and the Everest Soccer Club in Hudson where he currently works as director of the club and has won several State Cup Championships. He currently coaches the Everest U18 premier team. Zemanski has also made coaching stops at Upper St. Clair High School in Western, Pa. and the Beadling Soccer Club in Pittsburgh, Pa.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Zemanski began his collegiate career at the University of Pittsburgh in 1980, before spending his final two seasons with the Tar Heels. Following his graduation from North Carolina, Zemanski played eight seasons of semi-pro soccer for the Lake Erie All-Stars from 1988-1995.

Zemanski is one of the premier youth coaches in Northeast Ohio who has coached several of the top youth players in the area. His son, Ben, currently plays for the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer.

A 1984 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Zemanski currently resides in Stow, Ohio.
