Hamid enters her first season as head coach of the Terriers’ women’s ice hockey team, with the program set to open competition in 2027-28 as part of its inaugural season. Hamid most recently served as an assistant coach at Vermont State University – Castleton (Division III | Castleton, VT) in 2024-25, where the team earned a playoff berth in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC).

While at Castleton, Hamid oversaw the defensive side of the bench and worked with goalies on skill development. She also served as a goaltending skill development coach with the Troyan Goaltending Academy (Long Island, NY) and has been a goaltending evaluator for USA Hockey NYSAHA Eastern Region for the last three years.

As a goaltender herself, Hamid logged three seasons with SUNY-Cortland (Division III | Cortland, NY) from 2020-23 and posted a career record of 11-2, which included three shutouts and one assist. In her first season, she set a program record for the lowest single-season goals allowed average (1.33) and went on to be voted as the team’s “Spark Plug” by teammates and coaching staff. She is currently the program’s all-time leader in career goals allowed average (1.23) and ranks second in career save percentage (.928).

Hamid earned her bachelor’s degree in Sport Management with a concentration in sport facility and event management from SUNY Cortland in 2024. She also is earning a Master of Science in Athletic Leadership from Vermont State University – Castleton.
