Randall Taylor is entering his first season as the offensive line coach for the Hiram Terriers in 2023-24, having joined from Dickinson State University where heĀ coached the tight ends.
In his first season with the Hawks, they won the conferenceĀ (8-0)Ā for the eighthĀ year in a rowĀ and finished 8-2 in the regular season. They were a participant in the national playoffs and lost to the eventual national champions. Offensively, they led the conference in total points (358), points per game (32.5), total yards (4040), yards per game (367.3) and first downs per game (20.5). Nationally, they averaged 35.1 points per game, which ranked 15thĀ in the country. They finished with 1,680 rushing yards in the regular season, including a 434-yard game. He helped guide tight endĀ Galen Brantley III to second team all-conference honors.Ā

Originally from Naples, Florida, he started coaching football at Ave Maria University, where he spent four years (threeĀ as a player and one as a coach).
Taylor spent the first threeĀ years as a guard on the Gyrene offensive line. In 2018, he helped turn around a 2-8 team with wins over threeĀ nationally ranked opponents on the way to a Sun Conference Championship. During his playing time, he was three-time academic all-conference athlete.
After an injury derailed his 2020 season, Taylor started to coach in the spring of 2021 as the assistant offensive line coach, then was moved to coaching tight ends for the 2022 season. In his first season as a position coach, he helped lead an offense that rushed for a program-record 1,581 rushing yards. He also coached true freshman Brock Summers to second team all-conference.
Taylor graduated from Ave Maria University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is currently pursuing his Masters in Sports Administration from Dickinson State University.
