Sullivan enters his first season as a member of the Terriers coaching staff, having joined Hiram from Finlandia University, where he spent three years as an offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach, wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator.
Under Sullivan, Finlandia set numerous passing and receiving records, while also having the National Player of the Week in the 2021 season (Byron Owens).
Prior to Finlandia, Sullivan spent two years (2017-18) as an assistant coach at Norway High School in Michigan. In 2017, he helped the Knights go 9-2 and qualify for the Division 8 State Tournament.Â
Sullivan started his coaching career at West Iron County High School in Michigan as a running backs, wide receivers and defensive backs coach from 2013-16. The Wykons qualified for the state tournament on three different occasions, which included the first undefeated regular season in school history in 2013.Â
As a student-athlete, Sullivan lettered as a safety at Northern Michigan. He worked as an assistant to the defensive coordinator in his senior year after suffering a career-ending injury.
Sullivan earned is B.A.A. in Physical Education and Social Studies from Northern Michigan. He is married to his wife, Amanda, and has four children.
