Menard joins the Terriers from the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington City, Va., where he served as a defensive graduate assistant for the past year.
Menard helped the Keydets to a .500 conference record in 2019, and four defensive players earned All-Southern Conference honors.
Previously, Menard spent two seasons as a defensive assistant at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W. Va., helping the Rams to a 17-4 combined record over his two seasons with the program. In 2018, as the assistant defensive line coach, Menard helped coach a defense that was ranked 13th in NCAA Division II in 2018 and garnered All-Mountain East Conference (MEC) defensive linemen selections.
Menard began his coaching career as an assistant coach at The Saint James School in St. James, Md., spending two seasons with the Saints as an assistant offensive and defensive line coach and the junior varsity special teams coordinator.
A 2018 graduate of Shepherd University, Menard earned his bachelor's degree in recreational and sport studies in 2018 and is currently pursuing his master's degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University of Irvine.
