Mrozinski enters his fifth season as head coach of the Hiram Terriers football program in 2024, having joined the Terriers from Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I., where he served as the defensive coordinator for three years.
This past season saw Mrozinski and the Terriers pick up a 27-19 win over Oberlin and come close to knocking off a tough Ohio Wesleyan team on its home turf. Hiram ranked seventh in the NCAC in passing yards and ranked in the top-half of the conference in multiple kicking categories. K/P Chris Miller earned All-NCAC First Team honors and LB Gavin Cruser earned an All-NCAC Third Team selection to cap off the season.
In 2022, Mrozinski led Hiram to its most wins in a season since 2018, with Hiram beating Oberlin and Hilbert, as well as nearly picking up wins against Denison and Kenyon (both losses by 3 points). The team ranked 6th in the NCAC in both passing and rushing yards, while featuring 5 different All-NCAC honorees. Malcolm Rogers became the seventh All-NCAC First Team selection in program history under Mrozinski in 2022.
During his time at Salve Regina, Mrozinski helped lead the Seahawks to a 17-13 (11-7 CCC) record and a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Co-Championship, as well as a New England Bowl berth in 2018.
With the Seahawks, Mrozinski's defensive units consistently finished at the top of the conference, finishing first in scoring defense in 2017, and second in 2018 and 2019 as well as first in yards per game in 2017 and 2018 and second in 2019.
Under Mrozinski's watch, the Seahawks' defense placed 14 student-athletes on the All-Conference teams over his three years at Salve Regina, including the CCC Defensive Player of the Year each of the past two seasons. Mrozinski also coached two D3Football.com All-East Region honorees and three New England Football Writers All-Stars during his time at Salve Regina.
In addition to his duties as defensive coordinator, Mrozinski also coached the linebackers for one season, and the defensive backs for two seasons during his time with the Seahawks.
Prior to joining Salve Regina, Mrozinski spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y. Mrozinski started with the Bombers in 2011 as the special teams coordinator, defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator, adding video coordinator duties as well during his final four years with Ithaca.
Mrozinski helped the Bombers to back-to-back Empire 8 Conference Championships and NCAA Division III playoff berths in 2013 and 2014 while coaching 12 All-Empire 8 players, two Conference Players of the Year and two All-Americans during his time at Ithaca.
Previously, Mrozinski spent a season as the special teams and safeties coach at Widener University in Chester, Pa. from 2010-2011, as well as a season as the assistant defensive backs coach at NCAA Div. I-AA Hofstra University in Long Island, N.Y.
Before joining the Pride, Mrozinski served two seasons as an assistant football coach at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa., helping the Mules to back-to-back Centennial Conference Championships and NCAA playoff berths in 2007 and 2008.
Mrozinski began his coaching career at his alma mater, Buffalo State College in Buffalo, N.Y., spending the spring as an assistant coach with the Bengals in 2007.
A 2006 graduate of Buffalo State, Mrozinski played four seasons for the Bengals as a quarterback and long snapper. During his time with the Bengals, Mrozinski earned the Coaches Award, given to the player(s) who "exemplify and demonstrate special character", in the Fall of 2006 and the Al Abgott Attitude Award, given to an "unselfish, unsung player who never misses a responsibility to the team and is always pushing players around him to be better" in the Fall of 2004 and 2005.
Mrozinski earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Buffalo State in May 2006 and his master's degree in communications from Ithaca College in August 2015.
A member of the American Football Coaches Association, Mrozinski and his wife, Kaitlyn have two sons, Jack III and Cooper.
