HIRAM, Ohio - April 8, 2026 - Hiram continued conference play on Wednesday evening at Henry Field, falling to the Titans, 22-1.
The Terriers showed resilience throughout the match, highlighted by a fourth-quarter goal from
Janelle Steiner, who broke through to get Hiram on the scoreboard late in the game. Steiner led the offensive effort with four shots and accounted for the team's lone goal.
Defensively, Hiram continued to compete against a high-volume Westminster attack. Goalkeeper
Emma Fox recorded five saves while also contributing a team-high four ground balls, helping anchor the Terriers under constant pressure.
Hiram saw contributions across the field, including strong defensive efforts from
Jane Clark, adding two caused turnovers and two draw controls, along with Steiner, who also led the team with three draw controls. The Terriers finished with eight draw controls as a team, showing improvement in possession battles as the game progressed.
Despite an early surge from Westminster, Hiram continued to fight throughout all four quarters, with the team's persistence paying off in the final frame. The late goal from Steiner and a continued defensive effort reflected the Terriers' determination and growth as they move deeper into conference play.
Hiram will return to action on Saturday at home against Grove City College as they celebrate their three seniors at 12 p.m. at Henry Field.
