HIRAM, Ohio - April 11, 2026 - Hiram women's lacrosse fell short to Grove City on Saturday, but took the game as a special opportunity to honor three seniors at Henry Field.
The team honored Jane Clark, Riley France and Madigan Nolan prior to the contest, a group of seniors that have led a historic team in its return to competition for the first time since 2020 under head coach Maddie Wilson. Each member of the group was recognized individually for their contributions this season alongside their families, friends and teammates.
Clark has been a consistent force for the Terriers this season, ranking second on the team in both ground balls and caused turnovers. The Akron, OH native notably scored her first goal this past week against Thiel, helping Hiram to its first win of the campaign.
France has adjusted quickly in her first season of collegiate lacrosse, making the transition from the women's volleyball team to the lacrosse roster this spring. France scored her first goal earlier in the year against Trine, and reached double-digits for draw controls (10) following Saturday's battle against the Wolverines.
Nolan helped Hiram College in its efforts to bring back women's lacrosse; the Champion, OH native previously played one season on the men's lacrosse roster before serving a critical role on the women's team this year. Both Nolan and Clark have also been team captains this season, alongside first-year Megan Dayton.
As for the game itself, the defending PAC Champions lived up to their name, scoring throughout the contest to claim the victory. For Hiram, Sofiah Barkoot had two caused turnovers and Emma Fox had her second-most saves (13) in a career game.
The Terriers return to the field next Wednesday, when they travel to Meadville, PA for a clash against Allegheny at 4 p.m.
