MEADVILLE, Pennsylvania - April 15, 2026 - Hiram's Janelle Steiner scored two goals for the third time this season, increasing her team-high goal total to eight as part of an 18-5Â loss to Allegheny on Wednesday late afternoon.
Also chipping in throughout the victory was Sophie Bystrom with a "man-up" goal to open the scoring, while Kasey Kelhoffer and Natalie Easterday continued to make their presences felt with their fourth and second goals of the campaign respectively. Bystrom tallied an assist, too, which marked the first of her collegiate career.
Hiram particularly did a good job of flipping the field, totaling 17Â ground balls and 13Â clears. It marked the team's third game of the season with a double-digit clear total.
Allegheny was spearheaded by its balanced attack, with five different student-athletes tallying at least three goals. The Gators also totaled 19 caused turnovers to help fuel their victory and protect home field.
The Terriers will be back in action on Saturday, when they travel to Latrobe, PA for a matchup with Saint Vincent at 1 p.m.
