Kellen Wetz was again the star of the show, tallying 8+ points for the second straight game (five goals, three assists). Will Minggia stepped in and tied a career-high with four goals of his own, while Jack Cook also tied a career-high with three goals.Â
On the defensive end, Ethan Bitong tied for the third-most caused turnovers in a single game in program history (six), while Issac Ray had a game-high 11 ground balls. On face-offs, Remi DeSmith had four wins to round out the biggest contributions.
Hiram didn't let up throughout the contest, with Cook, Minggia and Wetz each scoring twice in the first half alone. Bethany scored its first goal early in the second quarter, but the lead stood at 6-1 heading into the intermission.
More of the same dominance ensued in the second half, with Tyler Wolke joining in on the scoring action with his third goal of the year. Wetz was also a playmaker, recording all three of his assists in the third quarter.
