HIRAM, Ohio – April 6, 2026 – Hiram men's volleyball had one of its busiest weeks of the season this past week, with three games on the slate against in-conference competition.

Not only did the team step up and win two of those three contests, but they also took home an individual award on Monday late afternoon, as announced in a release by the Presidents' Athletic Conference.

Kekoa Tani joined Liam Dwyer as Hiram's second PAC Newcomer of the Week award winner on Monday following the team's convincing wins over Bethany and Geneva, as well as a four-set loss to Grove City. Tani has stepped up throughout the season in a variety of roles, both as a setter and right side hitter.

The Kaneohe, HI native contributed in many ways over the three-game span, totaling 49 assists, 18 kills, four service aces, 11 digs and five total blocks against Bethany (3-0 win), Geneva (3-0 win) and Grove City (3-1 loss). Tani is the only player on the Terriers this season to have at least 100 kills and 100 assists.

The two wins helped lift the Terriers to a No. 5 seed in the PAC Tournament; the team is now three wins shy of winning a PAC title, beginning with the quarterfinal round against No. 4 Grove City on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Grove City, PA.
