Hiram Drops 2nd Game In PAC Tournament, Remains Alive Heading Into Friday

Terriers Fall To PAC Regular Season Champions

HIRAM, Ohio – April 30, 2026 – After advancing this morning with a win over Waynesburg, Hiram fell to top-seeded Westminster in the second round of the double-elimination PAC Tournament on Thursday afternoon, 5-1.

With the loss, Hiram will play Saint Vincent in an elimination game on Friday morning at 10 a.m. at Westminster Softball Field. The Bearcats lost to No. 3 Bethany on Thursday morning.

Starting pitcher Cheyenne Piper of Westminster showed why she leads the PAC in wins and strikeouts – holding Hiram to just one run on four hits. Hiram was able to put the ball in play against Piper, striking out just five times against a pitcher who entered the day with 39 more strikeouts than any other arm in the conference.

The Titans tacked on four runs through the first four innings of play. Hiram battled hard throughout the rest of the game, as all four of its hits came in the last two innings. Lola Thomas began the sixth inning with a single through the left side – Yasmine Clark then moved Thomas into scoring position. Ari Torres continued her impressive day at the plate with an RBI single to break the scoring column for the road team.

Hannah Marlow, who now leads the Terriers in hits, added two singles in the fifth and seventh innings.

Yasmine Clark worked five innings of relief with a solid line of: 5 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO.

Hiram will return to the field tomorrow at 10 a.m. as they will take on Saint Vincent – a team they swept on Mar. 21.
