ADRIAN, Michigan – February 8, 2026 – Hiram turned in a strong defensive effort on Sunday late afternoon but suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Concordia Wisconsin at the Arrington Ice Arena.
Ian Amaranto delivered a standout performance on goal Sunday afternoon, stopping 55 shots while facing sustained offensive pressure throughout the game. Amaranto recorded at least 16 saves in each period and made several key stops during extended defensive sequences to keep the game scoreless deep into the third period.
The Terriers generated 26 shots on goal and blocked 17 shots defensively, led by
Keith Smilowitz and
Austin Renaldo with two blocks apiece.
Hiram finished 21-for-56 in the face off circle. The Terriers also killed Concordia Wisconsin's lone power-play opportunity in the final minute after pulling the goaltender for an extra attacker.
Next up, the Terriers will hit the road again for a weekend series against Albertus Magnus on both Friday and Saturday in New Haven, CT.
