HIRAM, Ohio – February 21, 2026- The Hiram men's basketball team hosted the Gators of Allegheny College in a PAC matchup on Saturday afternoon at Price Gymnasium. The Terriers earned the victory in a dominant effort, 88-69, with the team's senior class fueling the effort and punctuating the season in convincing fashion.
The Terriers celebrated their senior class of Brock Makrancy, Josh Martin, Dushawn Hill and Manuel Devora Violan pregame, as these four seniors have given so much to the men's basketball program and rightfully deserved to be honored. The quartet also found themselves each in the starting lineup, a special opportunity to shine one last time at Price Gymnasium.
As for the game, the Terriers controlled the game from the start, opening up to a 10-point lead early and carrying the lead into halftime, as they were up 6 points at that point. The Terriers pulled away from the Gators in the second half, as they outscored the Gators, 43-30, in that period, and led them to earning a PAC victory on Senior Day. It marked the team's second PAC victory on its home floor in 2025-26.
Leading the way for the Terriers were the senior class, as all four seniors honored pregame scored 10+ points in the game.Â
Devora Violan finished with 17 points on 7-12 shooting and also grabbed seven rebounds and found his teammates for a seven-assist performance as well. Hill finished with 17 points on 6-8 shooting and he had a very active day as well, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out six assists. Finishing with 13 points was Josh Martin, who also grabbed six rebounds and finished 3-3 from behind the arc. Brock Makrancy, who finished 4-8 from the field, finished with 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.Â
This game marks the end of the 2025-2026 season for the Terriers, and they will be back in action next winter, when they begin their next season in action as part of the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
