CLEVELAND, Ohio – February 20, 2026 – Hiram closed out their inaugural season with a tough 4-1 loss to St. John Fisher on Friday afternoon at Rocket Arena -- the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Monsters.
Despite the unfortunate close to its season, Hiram put up a strong performance in net.
Ian Amaranto capped off the season with 56 saves over the course of the full 60 minutes, recording 15 stops in the first period and third period and 26 in the second.
After a scoreless first period, Hiram broke the ice with a goal from
Anthony Arthurs, who got the feed from
Shane Ward. With this goal, there is now a three-way tie for most goals on the season, with the Arthurs brothers (Tyler and Anthony) and
Markus Olson all ending the season with five goals each.
Offensively, Hiram generated 15 shots on goal from nine different players; leading the pack were
Tyler Arthurs,
Anthony Arthurs and
Shane Ward with three shots apiece. The Terriers blocked 16 shots to St. John Fisher's six blocks, with
Gino Haynes and
Noah Proulx each recording multiple blocks.
In the face-off circle, the Terriers finished the night 25-for-57, keeping the Cardinals on their toes with multiple Terriers putting up standout performances in the circle.
Hunter Gentz finishing in the positive at 5-for-11 and
Anthony Arthurs finished 10-for-20 in the face-off circle.
The Terriers will return back to action in the winter of 2026, where they will take on season two. The team also will play an ACHA team, Misericordia on Saturday at 4 p.m. from The Pond in Chagrin Falls, OH.
