HIRAM, Ohio - February 18, 2026 - Hiram women's basketball took a 6-point lead into the fourth quarter, but a late rally from Geneva was enough to turn the game around in an 84-79 loss on Wednesday evening at Price Gymnasium.
With a spot in the PAC Tournament on the line, the Terriers performed about as well as they could've hoped over the first three quarters, outscoring the Golden Tornadoes by 6 points during that span (58-52). Geneva didn't shoot over 37% in either of the three periods, while senior Sarah Seaman scored 24 of her career-high 30 points to fuel one of the team's best offensive performances in a conference game this winter.
Geneva made its move down the stretch, starting the fourth quarter on a 7-2 run and then eventually posting an 11-2 run to pull ahead, 73-67, with 2:13 left in regulation. Hiram's Emma Osborn had some nice moments to keep it close, but the Golden Tornadoes ultimately walked away with the win and a guaranteed spot in the conference tournament.
Despite the loss, Seaman inched closer to 400 points for the season by scoring a new career-best. Her previous record was 28 points at Allegheny on Jan. 21, while her total of six 3-pointers was also her most for a single game.
Hiram will close out the season on Saturday, when it hosts Allegheny at 1 p.m. inside Price Gymnasium.
