BEAVER FALLS, Pennsylvania – February 18, 2026 - Hiram overcame Geneva in three sets, winning 27-25, 25-18, 25-20 on the road. The win puts the Terriers at 1-0 in conference play and 4-3 on the season overall; as things currently stand, the team is one of four teams in the PAC to be unbeaten in conference play.
The Terriers were dominant offensively, recording 47 total kills on a .388 hitting percentage. The team's hitting leaders were spearheaded by Derek Chiang, who hit 12 kills. Cullen Sivak and Liam Dwyer also shined, having 10 kills each, with Sivak hitting a .563 and Dwyer hitting .529.Â
In the second set, the Terriers had three service aces as well as hitting .486 total in the set. Darren Chiang had 2 of the 3 aces.Â
The Terriers struggled in set one, with Geneva coming back from a 13-8 deficit, but the team went on a 5-1 run to finish the set and never looked back from there. Following the back-and-forth first set, Hiram controlled each of the final two sets, totaling 36 of its 47 kills during that span.
The Terriers head back to Price Gymnasium to take on conference opponent, Chatham University, at 7 p.m. on Friday.
