HIRAM, Ohio – February 11, 2026- The Hiram Terrier women's basketball team welcomed their fellow PAC North opponent Westminster for a crucial PAC conference game on Wednesday afternoon, with both teams fighting for positioning in the PAC playoff race. The Terriers fought hard but eventually came up short in a losing effort, 61-56. Â
Both teams came into the game in a three-way tie for fourth in the PAC North (Geneva holds the other spot), with the top-four teams from each division making the PAC Tournament. A win on Wednesday would give either team the upperhand on each other; the Titans ended up gaining a one-game lead over Hiram. The Terriers now need a victory this weekend, as well as wins next week in order to stay alive in the PAC Tournament race.Â
As for the game, both teams were scoring back-and-forth, with neither team gaining a clear advantage over each other. The Terriers were deadlocked with the Titans at halftime, in which they had a 1-point advantage heading into the break. At the end of the third quarter, the game was tied, as both teams were fighting for every possession. But it was the late-game heroics of the Titans that led them to their fifth PAC win.
Individually, there were multiple performances that helped lead the Terriers to a very competitive game. Leading the way for the Terriers with an outstanding performance was Star Owens. Owens finished the game with a career-high 27 points on a 12-24 (50%) shooting performance. Owens also tallied 10 rebounds on the game, which marks the second career double-double over her three seasons with the team.Â
Not far behind was Advika Srinivasan, who finished with 15 points on 5-10 (50%) shooting from behind the arc. This marks the thirde time this season where Srinivasan has finished with 5-or-more threes in a single game. Also scoring in the double-digit column was Isabella Caceres, who finished with 10 points and grabbed six rebounds along with five assists. Â
Hiram will return to the court on Saturday, when they travel to Latrobe, PA to take on Saint Vincent at 4 p.m.
