Hiram Shoots Season-High FG Pct In Well-Rounded Win At Franciscan

Terriers Now Tied For 4th In PAC North Division

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - January 31, 2026 - Hiram had one of its best offensive games of the season on Saturday afternoon, as the team shot a season-high 53% from the field and had three players score 15+ points in an 86-76 win over Franciscan inside Finnegan Fieldhouse.

The victory gives Hiram three PAC wins this season; the team will finish the week tied for fourth in the PAC North Division, with the top-four teams in the divisional standings advancing to the PAC Tournament at the end of February.

Isabella Caceres and Star Owens each tallied 20 points, while Sarah Seaman added 17 points; all three student-athletes shot over 50% for the entire contest. Caceres also had seven assists and Owens chipped in eight rebounds to further spearhead the starting five.

The Terriers won the game despite a slow start, as the Barons pulled ahead through the end of the first quarter, 18-14. Hiram then made the necessary adjustments in the second quarter, holding the Barons to 25% shooting during that span and getting 20 points from five different student-athletes on the offensive end, including Owens (7 points).

Hiram found more of the same efficiency on both ends of the floor in the second half. The team notably shot 50% on 3-pointers (4-8) and 100% on free throws (12-12) to claim a lead that grew as large as 17 points. A 7-0 run in the third quarter and a 7-0 run to start the fourth quarter provided the Terriers with enough cushion to close out the contest in convincing fashion.

Head coach Alexandra Dellas and company will continue conference play on Wednesday, when the team celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day as part of a home affair against Thiel College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. inside Price Gymnasium in Hiram, OH.
