HIRAM, Ohio – January 3, 2026 – The Hiram women's basketball team hosted the Heidelberg Student Princes for an afternoon matchup at Price Gymnasium. The Terriers fought hard and eventually secured a 6-point victory, 79-73, after being down 10 points at halftime.
The Terriers clawed their way throughout the entire game, as they didn't let the Student Princes pull away. It was also a well-rounded team effort, with four players scoring more than 10 points in the entire game. This team camaraderie helped the Terriers come back and stave off any comeback attempts, which led to a victory.
Leading the way for Hiram was Sarah Seaman, who finished with 23 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the field. Seaman has been in impressive form as of the last 3 games, finishing with 20+ points from each game.
Not too far behind was Isabella Caceres, who finished with a double-double, dropping 21 points while dishing out 10 assists and shooting 7-15 from the field. Also finishing with a double-double was Maya Joiner, who dropped 15 points and grabbed an impressive 17 rebounds. This marks the third double-double of the season for Joiner, who has finished with 10 or more rebounds in 5 games.
The Terriers will be back in action next Wednesday, when they travel to Geneva College to continue PAC play, with the tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
