NEW WILMINGTON, Pennsylvania – January 14, 2026 – The Hiram women's basketball team traveled to Westminster College on Wednesday evening for a PAC matchup with the Titans. The Terriers fought hard in a defensive battle, making Westminster earn every single basket, but the Titans stayed resilient which helped lead them to a narrow victory, 63-61, inside Buzz Ridl Gymnasium.
The Terriers played outstanding on the defensive end, notably holding the home team to a 26% mark from beyond the perimeter, which helped them carry momentum throughout the game. On the offensive side of the ball for Hiram, the team finished with four players scoring in double-figures, a mark that has been set for the fifth time this season. This play on both sides is what Hiram used to fight against the Titans.
Leading the way for the Terriers was Sarah Seaman, who finished with 20 points on 8-17 shooting from the field. This is Seaman's fifth game out of her last six where she finished with 20 points or more, as she looks to continue her outstanding scoring streak through the rest of PAC play.
Finishing right behind Seaman was Star Owens, who finished with 15 points and grabbing eight rebounds in an impressive performance. Next up was Advika Srinivasan, who finished with 13 points, and drilled three 3-pointers in an hard-fought effort. Finally, finishing with her 5th double-double of the season was Maya Joiner, who finished with 11 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds. This marks Joiner's 3rd double-double in the last four games, with the 19 rebounds tying the ninth-most rebounds in a single game in program history.
The Terriers played well through the first three quarters, taking an 11-point lead into the fourth quarter. The team notably outscored its opposing 20-12 in the third quarter alone, holding the Titans to just five field goals during that span.
Westminster roared back in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 of the first 17 points in the period to tie the score at 57-57. The Titans were able to further that momentum through the final buzzer, as they gained a lead as large as 4 points before sealing the contest with a 2-point margin.
The Terriers will be back in action on Saturday, when they will welcome the Presidents of Washington & Jefferson College for an afternoon PAC matchup, with the tip-off set for 1 p.m.
