HIRAM, Ohio - January 10, 2026 - The Hiram women's basketball saw its winning streak come to an end against Bethany College on Saturday afternoon, as the home team fought back in the fourth quarter but ultimately lost, 75-57, inside Price Gymnasium.
Hiram outscored the Bison in the fourth quarter, 14-13, with the Terriers defense holding the opposition to its lowest FG pct in any quarter of the game during that span (42.9%). Overall, Hiram won the points off turnovers battle, 16-7, but Bethany proved to hold the upperhand in the end.
The Terriers split their offense between Isabella Caceres (12 points), Advika Srinivasan (12 points) and Maya Joiner (10 points), with Joiner also contributing four blocks and a pair of steals. As a team, Hiram had twice as many offensive rebounds (16) as the Bison.
A full-court press and fast-paced offense from Bethany were both effective early on, as the team grabbed an 18-11 lead at the end of the first quarter and 35-26 advantage at the intermission. Lindsey Garrison was the X-factor, scoring a game-high 21 points.
Bethany extended its lead by another 10 points in the third quarter before Hiram found a defensive groove and won the fourth quarter.Â
Despite the loss, the Terriers will hold their third-place spot in the PAC North Division, while the Bison are currently tied for third place in the PAC South Division.
Hiram returns to action on Wednesday, when it travels to New Wilmington, PA for a matchup with the Titans of Westminster College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
