Terriers Keep Pace With W&J In Tight Loss

Hiram Moves To 1-1 In PAC Play This Season

WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania – September 27, 2025 – Hiram women's soccer remained within striking distance throughout a 2-0 loss to Washington & Jefferson, as Madie Kennedy tallied 10 saves in a hard-fought effort on Saturday afternoon at Alexandre Stadium.

It marked the second career game with double-digit saves for Kennedy, who also had 11 saves earlier in the campaign at Oberlin. On the offensive side of the ball, Bella Simmons had a shot on goal, while Kali Baker and Bella Rose also fired off shots in the PAC battle.

W&J scored in both the 27th and 65th minutes, as Maura Heberle had an unassisted goal to open the scoring before Heberle assisted on a goal by Bridget Callihan. For the Presidents, the victory improved their record to 4-5 for the early stages of the season, while the Terriers dropped to that same 4-5 clip.

Hiram will be in action again on Wednesday, when it opens the month of October with a conference matchup at Westminster at 7:30 p.m. in New Wilmington, PA.
