HIRAM, Ohio – October 1, 2025 - The Terriers had a tough defeat on the road against the Titans of Westminster College on Wednesday evening, with a final score of 2-0 at the UPMC Sports Complex.Â
The first half saw strong defense on both sides, until Westminster's Giulianna Russell found the back of the net off an assist from Amanda Lewis in the 34th minute. Soon after, in the 43rd minute, Lewis would score a goal of her own to put the Titans up 2-0. Â
Hiram's defense faced pressure, as the Titans recorded 24 shots, with nine shots on goal. Goalkeeper Madie Kennedy worked hard to keep the score close, as four of her seven saves came after the Titan's two goals. Â
On the offensive side, Hiram was held to three shots throughout the evening, two of which were on goal. Kali Baker fired a free kick in the 53rd minute of the match that came up just short of the net. Sophomore Kaylei Smith also recorded a shot on target.
Hiram returns to action on Saturday, when they host Saint Vincent College at 7 p.m. at Henry Field as part of the Homecoming/Hall of Fame Weekend festivities.
