Hiram Defense Shines In Exciting Match Against PAC-Leading Saint Vincent

Terriers Keep Close Against Top Team In Conference

HIRAM, Ohio - October 4, 2025 - Hiram had one of its strongest performances of the season on Saturday evening at Henry Field, as the team stayed within distance of a 9-1-1 opponent in what shaped out to be a 3-0 loss to Saint Vincent at Henry Field.

The final score didn't do the Terriers justice, as they only allowed one penalty kick goal and just four shots on target for the entirety of the first 45 minutes. The Bearcats kept running into a wall of Hiram defenders, which included the likes of Brianna Weber, Becca Devericks and Hailey Eastwood.

Saint Vincent broke through with goals in the 59th and 72nd minutes, but Hiram still only allowed five total shots for the second half. Ava Little and Kali Baker both recorded shots on goal during that span, but a three-goal deficit ended up being the final margin.

Despite the loss, Hiram still had a strong showing against a team that currently stands alone atop the Presidents' Athletic Conference standings.

Hiram will return to the field on Tuesday, when they host Grove City – who also is a contender to win the conference – at 7 p.m. at Henry Field in Hiram, OH.
