HIRAM, Ohio – September 24, 2025 – Hiram cruised to a 4-0 win over Thiel on Wednesday evening at Henry Field, as three different student-athletes from three academic classes each scored a goal to keep the Terriers' unbeaten all-time record against the Tomcats (14-0-1) alive.
First-year Ava Little notched her second goal of the campaign before senior Olivia Kraft found the back of the net for the first time in 2025 and junior Reagan Mory scored yet again. An own goal capped off the scoring in what also marked the fourth consecutive clean sheet at home this season.
The victory continues a remarkable run in the historical matchup between the two teams, as Hiram has yet to lose in the 15 matches against Thiel dating back to 1997. The win also gives the Terriers a strong start to the conference campaign, with all 12 teams in the conference opening PAC play on Wednesday.
Hiram was in control right from the outset, establishing an aggressiveness on offense, as evidenced by its 26 shots, 14 shots on target and nine corner kicks. Mory found Little for the score in the 10th minute before Kali Baker connected with Kraft for a 2-0 lead in the 22nd minute.
Then Mory did some scoring of her own, charging past the Tomcats defense and slotting home a shot in the 34th minute. The Terriers defense would hold strong the rest of the way, limiting the opposition to just one shot for the entirety of the last 45 minutes.
Hiram will return to the field on Saturday, when it plays Washington & Jefferson at 3 p.m. in Washington, PA.
