HIRAM, Ohio – April 5, 2025 – Hiram fought hard against one of the better teams in all of Division III, as the Terriers scored twice in the third quarter of a 29-2 loss to Kenyon on Saturday afternoon at Henry Field.
The Terriers outscored the Owls in that third quarter, 2-1, with Jack Cook and Aaron Gardner each tallying goals. Trevor Nordstrom and Cook had the assists on each of those two goals, marking the home team's production against a Kenyon roster that only has three losses this season, two of which have come against nationally ranked teams.
Kenyon won the game thanks to a quick start, as the Owls scored the first 22 goals in the game to take a commanding lead that held to the final horn. Six different players recorded at least three goals in the game.
Hiram will return to action on Wednesday, when it travels to Wooster, OH for a matchup with the Fighting Scots. Start time is 7 p.m. at John P. Papp Stadium.
