PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania - March 18, 2025 - Hiram rolled to a 25-5 victory over La Roche on Tuesday evening, extending its win streak to three games and taking a full boost of momentum into the start of the conference schedule on Saturday.
Ethan Mayer reached 100 career points with a season-high five goals and one assist, while Aaron Gardner had four goals and four assists just hours after being named the NCAC Athlete of the Week. Micky Morgan (four goals), Bricen Jones (three), Jack Cook (three), Levi Willett (three) and Tyler Wolke (two) each had multiple goals to round out the one-sided victory.
Hiram also tallied a season-high 46 ground balls, with Dominic Harris (nine), Jones (seven), Gray Perry (six) and Ethan Bitong (five) leading that category. Perry, Josh Fedorek and Brant Skipper each had two caused turnovers to spearhead the defense, while Aidan Griffin and Joey Cox effectively split up the goalkeeping duties.
The Terriers were consistent all game long, tallying at least six goals in each of the first three quarters to take a 21-3 lead. Mayer had four of his five goals during that span, while all eight of Gardner's points came over those first 45 minutes of game time.
The rest of the roster sealed the deal in the fourth quarter; 20 different Hiram players entered the game in the final tune-up before Saturday's conference opener.
That NCAC battle is next on the schedule, with Hiram taking on Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Delaware, OH.
