OBERLIN, Ohio - February 19, 2025 - Hiram got a 17-point performance from Brooke Hickman and had a strong defensive third quarter, but Oberlin came away with a 76-65 victory over the Terriers on Wednesday evening at Philips Gymnasium.
Despite being outscored by 7 points in the first half, Hiram came out of the intermission with a defensive intensity, limiting the Yeowomen to a 26.7% (4-15) FG pct in the third quarter. Oberlin regained the form that has made it a winning team in the NCAC this season, racking up 25 points over the last 10 minutes to hang on for the win. While Hickman led all scorers in the game, the Yeowomen had five different student-athletes with at least 10 points in the game.
Anastasia Lawler had the sharpshooting stroke for the road team, notching all 12 of her points on 3-pointers. Isabella Caceres made it past the halfway point to a triple-double with 10 points, five rebounds and five assists; Maja Joiner rounded out the production with a 3-for-3 night off the bench.
