Terriers Dominate Wooster In Statement Victory

Hickman’s Double-Double Powers Hiram To 79-46 Win At Home

Hiram , Ohio – February 12, 2025 – Hiram College's women's basketball team put together an all-around dominant performance, cruising past Wooster 79-46 in NCAC action at Price Gymnasium. The Terriers controlled the game on both ends of the floor.

The game started as a back-and-forth battle, with Wooster holding a slim 16-14 lead after the first quarter. However, Hiram found its rhythm in the second, outscoring the Fighting Scots 22-10 to take a commanding 36-26 lead into halftime. Brooke Hickman was a force early on, scoring inside while dominating the boards, while Anastasia Lawler sparked the offense with key three-pointers.

The Terriers turned up the intensity in the third quarter, holding Wooster to just 7 points while extending their lead to 22. Hiram's defense stifled the Fighting Scots, forcing 21 turnovers and converting them into 27 points. Hickman continued to control the paint, finishing with 20 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.

The final quarter saw Hiram close out the game in a dominant fashion, outscoring Wooster 24-13 while shooting an efficient 64.7% from the field. Contributions from Maya Joiner, Sarah Seaman and Jo Janda off the bench helped the Terriers secure the convincing victory.

The Terriers will host their final home game this Saturday, when they take on Denison University and celebrate their five seniors in Price Gymnasium at 1 p.m.
