HIRAM, Ohio – December 31, 2025 – Sarah Seaman set a new career-high with 24 points and
Isabella Caceres tied her career-high with 12 assists, but the Terriers fell short of victory in an 80-71 loss to Penn State Behrend on Wednesday afternoon at Price Gymnasium.
The Terriers erased a deficit that was as large as 13 points, dominating the third quarter and gaining the momentum that put them within reach of closing out a victory against one of the top teams in the AMCC. Hiram won that third quarter, 32-17, and eventually led, 66-60, with 7:59 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Penn State Behrend followed with an 11-0 run of its own to regain a two-possession lead, and eventually fended off the consistent offense of the Terriers to claim the win. Seaman scored 22 of her 24 points over the course of the second half, igniting her team in what shaped out to be a seesaw affair.
Caceres' 12 assists in the game trail only Julie Paolano (14), Valerie Goudy (13) and Karen Horvath (13) for the most assists in a single game in program history. Caceres is also the only student-athlete to have 12 assists in multiple games, as she also posted that kind of performance last season at Franciscan.
Advika Srinivasan tied her career-high with 5 3-pointers, while also nearing a new personal best with 17 points in the contest. The senior from Lewisville, TX was making her first career start.
Hiram will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, when it hosts the Student Princes of Heidelberg at 2 p.m. inside Price Gymnasium in Hiram, OH.
