Hiram Has 6 Double-Digit Scorers In Key Win At Adrian

Terriers Get Back In Win Column On Wednesday

ADRIAN, Michigan – December 31, 2025 – The depth of the Hiram men's basketball roster was on full display to close out the calendar year on Wednesday afternoon, as the Terriers featured six scorers in double-figures as part of a 91-83 win over Adrian at the Merillat Center.

Hiram outscored the Bulldogs by 10 points in the second half (44-34), while DJ Niles (15 points), Manuel Devora Violan (12), Collin Jones (12), Dushawn Hill (12), Mitchell Wiechecki (11) and Jack Agema (11) all contributed in the team's second-best offensive performance of the campaign (93 points at Alfred State on Nov. 7). The Terriers were also effectively aggressive throughout the game, asserting themselves on offense and earning 31 points on free throws alone.

The first half saw Hiram shoot nearly 63% from the field (15-24), which included a dunk by Jones to carve out a 24-13 advantage with 10:47 remaining. Adrian eventually evened the score at 32-32 and another tie followed at 43-43, but the halftime score stood at 49-47 in favor of the home team.

The Terriers defense, which held Adrian to 38% shooting from the field in the first half (11-29), took another step forward over the final 20 minutes. Adrian went 12-33 from the field during that span, including a 4-15 mark (26.7%) from beyond the arc.

Seth Logan had a game-high 28 points for Adrian, but the wide array of contributions from Hiram proved to be more effective in the end. Hiram had an 8-0 run just before the midpoint of the second half and finished the game on a 17-10 run over the final 4:35 of game time.

Hiram will look to pick up another non-conference victory on Saturday, when it takes on Penn State Behrend at 4 p.m. inside Price Gymnasium in Hiram, OH.
