Hiram Finds Stroke In 2nd Half Of Loss At Saint Mary's

Terriers Wrap Up Weekend In Notre Dame, IN

NOTRE DAME, Indiana - November 15, 2025 - The Hiram women's basketball team finished its time at The Inn at Saint Mary's Classic on Saturday, falling to the hosts of the event, Saint Mary's, by a final score of 86-55.

Even though the team fell short, first-year Ally Lyde had a breakout game in just the third game of her young career, scoring 15 points off the bench on 6-of-9 shooting from the field. She also added three rebounds and two steals, igniting her team over 17 minutes of playing time.

Isabella Caceres and Sarah Seaman combined for seven assists to keep the offense flowing, while Maya Joiner paced the frontcourt with a game-high 10 rebounds.

Hiram fell behind by 23 points at halftime, but responded with a strong third quarter that saw both teams score 16 points. The Terriers progressively got better in finding their stroke from the field, particularly in the second half, when the team shot 43% in the third quarter and 57% in the fourth quarter.

Saint Mary's ultimately hung on for the win, but Hiram got another non-conference game under its belt, with conference play right around the corner.

The Terriers will next be in play on Thursday, when they travel to Pittsburgh for a 5:30 p.m. matchup against La Roche.
