HIRAM, Ohio – January 4, 2025 – The Hiram women's basketball team dropped its second conference game of the season, 81-42, to DePauw inside Price Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers did all they could against a Tigers team that won the NCAC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Second Round this past season. With the win, DePauw improved to 8-4 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC this season.
Hiram's Ava Mory posted a career-high 15 points on 6-11 shooting from the field, while Brooke Hickman was just as efficient in the post (12 points, 5-9 shooting). Anastasia Lawler and Diara Parsons each had three assists in the home loss.
DePauw never trailed in the game, with four different student-athletes tallying double-digit points and the Tigers offense combining to score 18+ points in each quarter. Hiram went on a 6-0 run early in the third quarter to make it a 20-point game, but the opposition regained its form and closed out the game to stay undefeated in conference play.
The Terriers will return to action next Saturday, when they host Kenyon at 1 p.m. inside Price Gymnasium.
