HIRAM, Ohio - January 10, 2025 - Hiram women's wrestling celebrated Kylee Bentley in grand fashion on Friday evening, as the senior was honored for her incredible contributions to the program before picking up three wins at the Hiram Quad Match inside Price Gymnasium.

The Terriers ultimately lost their three duals against Bethany, Otterbein and Mount Union, but the efforts of the program's all-time wins leader shined bright throughout the evening.

Bentley (110/117 lbs) won against Bethany by forfeit before winning by fall against Otterbein's Rylee Touhalisky (0:53) and Mount Union's Aubrey Filsinger (0:43). The Hubbard, OH native has now won 11 of her last 12 bouts, adding onto her program-leading total that has now exceeded 60 career victories.

When she graduates in May, Bentley will be the first alumni in the history of the women's wrestling program, which began competition in 2021-22. Bentley was on that historic 2021-22 roster and has since spearheaded the program to new heights, both on and off the mats. Beyond the victories, Bentley also has qualified for NCWWC National Championships in 2022 and has led the team in victories in three different seasons, including 2024-25.

Lexi Doerflinger (117 lbs) also picked up two wins, including a victory by fall against Bethany's Angelina Watson (fall, 3:30). Mallory Chunat (138 lbs) matched her teammate thanks to a win by fall against Bethany's Kasey Kophazy (1:26).

One of the highlights of the night came in the final dual, when Allydia Byard (160 lbs) won by fall against Mount Union's Shelby Walker (0:30). It was a major shift in momentum that put Hiram in position to beat the Purple Raiders, but a tough finish gave the in-state rival the tight victory.

The Terriers will get right back to the mats on Sunday, when they host Waynesburg and Tiffin beginning at 12 p.m. at Price Gymnasium.
