Hiram Has Strong Second Half In Loss To Wooster

Johnson Scores Twice In Conference Battle

HIRAM, Ohio - April 6, 2024 - The Terriers fell to The College of Wooster by a final score of 24-8 on Saturday afternoon at Henry Field. Despite the loss, Hiram scored its most goals in a conference game since April 2022 against Oberlin.

The team was led by Brett Johnson in goals (two), with William Luketich winning 15 faceoffs and sophomore Aidan Griffin recording 13 saves.

The Terriers kept the game close in the opening minutes of the first quarter, but the contest slipped away towards the end of the quarter, with the score being 7-1 after the first 15 minutes.

Hiram was unable to make a comeback in the second half of the game, but scored five goals during that span and held its opposition to just one goal in the fourth quarter.

Hiram will look ahead to its next game against Denison on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Granville, OH.
