HIRAM, Ohio - April 3, 2024 - Hiram saw a huge contribution from its bench in a three-set win against Carlow University, extending its season-long win streak to six games inside Price Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.
Hiram started the game strong with a 14-6 lead in the opening minutes, which the team eventually rode to a 25-11 win in the first set. Hiram kept the momentum going for the second set (25-16) and pulled out a back-and-forth battle in the third set, too (26-24).
The team was led by sophomore
Cullen Sivak and freshman
Jacob Thomas in kills (six each). The match also saw a nice contribution from freshman
Brady Greco, who led the team in assists (12), which is the second most he has had all season (13 vs Bethany).Â
The Terriers defense was another factor in the match, as the unit kept their opponent's hitting percentage to .167, including a -.063 percentage in the first set.
Hiram will play its final game of the regular season this Saturday against Thiel College in Price Gymnasium starting at 1 p.m. The men's volleyball team will also be honoring its seniors during Saturday's matchup.
