4/27/2024 11:12:00 PM

CREVE COUER, Missouri – April 27, 2024 – Hiram STUNT began its pursuit of a national title on Saturday, as it competed at the STUNT National Championship for the third time in program history (fourth time the team has qualified for the event).

The Terriers beat No. 3 Muskingum, 14-8, before losing to No. 1 Alma, 24-0. The results mean the team will now play in the consolation bracket, where a win over George Fox University on Sunday (11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT start time) would guarantee a spot in the national championship against Alma at 2 p.m ET/1 p.m. CT.

The victory over Muskingum marks the program's first ever win at the event, with the previous results including a pair of losses to Alma and losses to Olivet and Concordia Chicago. Hiram now has 10 victories this season, which marks the first double-digit win season in program history.

Hiram fell short to Alma, but still has life moving forward in the event. The team will take on George Fox for the first time in program history on Sunday, with a spot in the sport's biggest game on the line.
