ASHLAND, Ohio - March 23, 2024 - Hiram lost both of its games at Kates Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon: 14-0 to Ashland and 12-1 to Ursuline.

Despite the two losses, Hiram finishes the regular season with its most wins in a single season in program history and sole possession of first place in the Blue Division of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference standings. The 2024 regular season also included the team's longest win streak in program history (seven straight wins from Feb. 10 to Mar. 17), as well as the No. 2 overall rank in all of Division III throughout the year, trailing only No. 1 Alma.

The first game of the day featured a rematch of the 2023 GMAC Championship; the Eagles were consistent throughout the game and took the shutout victory. They finished the regular season with a 9-1 record against GMAC opponents.

Hiram scored its first point of the day in the second game against Ursuline, but the Arrows also held the upper hand to take home their fifth conference victory of the season. The Terriers won the previous matchup between the two teams, 12-8, on March 2.

Head coach Brittany Powell and company will now set their sights on the Great Midwest Championship, where they will look to improve upon their second-place finish one year ago. All the action begins on Thursday at The Heminger Center in Tiffin, Ohio.
