Hiram Rolls To Sweep Of Ursuline, Malone

STUNT Now 6-2 This Season

CANTON, Ohio - March 2, 2024 - Hiram STUNT continued to thrive in conference play on Saturday afternoon at Osborne Hall, winning both of its games against Ursuline (12-8) and Malone (14-2) to improve to 6-2 this season and 5-1 in games against GMAC opponents.

The Terriers have now won five straight games, which is a new program record for a single season. The team had won four straight games in March and April of 2020.

Game 1 Recap vs Ursuline

Hiram again came through in the third quarter after scoring on routine four for partner stunts in the first quarter and routine one for pyramids & tosses in the second quarter. With two points, the Terriers would then score on all four routines for jumps & tumbling in the third quarter, putting them in position to close out the game.

The team routines were just as successful, with Hiram scoring at least one point on all four team routines to close out the game. Jay Manigo, Nina Casalandra and Bri James led the way, as each had a power rating of 31.

Game 2 Recap vs Malone

It was a much more comfortable margin of victory in the second game of the day, with Hiram keeping control and scoring at least one point in every quarter. At halftime, the team tallied one point in partner stunts and two points in pyramids & tosses.

The third quarter saw the team score on routines two, three and four, giving it a big lead heading into the team routines. Hiram scored seven points in the final quarter to move it one win closer to matching its win total from all of last season (7). 

Casalandra, Manigo, Reyna Polly and Erica Kirby each had a power rating of 31 in the win.

What's Next

Hiram will host a doubleheader on Sunday, March 17 against Walsh and Malone inside Price Gymnasium beginning at 11 a.m.
