Batzorig Leads Bench In Scoring

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - February 7, 2024 - The Hiram men's basketball team lost to Wittenberg, 77-57, on Wednesday evening at Pam Evans Smith Arena.

Despite the loss, Hiram outscored the opposing Tigers, 11-9, in fast-break points behind a great presence on the defensive end that featured at least one steal from five different student athletes.

The Tigers rode a 38-point outburst in the first half to take a 17-point lead heading into the intermission. The Tigers saw a big contribution from Scott Dawson with 15 points and Cameron Harrison with 14 points.

Hiram played well in the second half, scoring 36 points as a team and holding its opposition to a FG pct below 40%, but the Tigers were able to close the game out in the end.
