HIRAM, Ohio – February 18, 2024 – Hiram STUNT took control in its first home game of the season, jumping ahead in quarter 1 and holding that momentum all the way to the finish line in a 15-8 win over Tiffin on Sunday morning at Price Gymnasium.

The victory improves the Terriers' record to 4-2 this season, which ranks first among all teams in the Blue Division of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Hiram scored on routines 3, 4 and 1 in the first quarter, which involves the partner stunts. Tiffin had started the game by scoring on routine 2, but Hiram held the early 3-1 advantage.

The Terriers would continue to apply pressure in the second quarter, scoring twice on pyramids and tosses. The team scored those points on routines 1 and 2 before entering the halftime with a 5-2 lead.

It was an evenly matched third quarter in the jumps and tumbling, with both teams scoring twice to keep it a 3-point game. Hiram scored on routines 3 and 4, while the Dragons scored on routines 6 and 5.

The competitive first three quarters set the stage for what figured to be an entertaining fourth quarter, which involves the team routines and the most scoring in the game. Hiram scored on all four routines in the final quarter, including 3 points on routines 2 and 1.

Hiram's 8 total points in the fourth quarter gave it more than enough breathing room, as it pulled out the victory in front of a roaring home crowd.

Next, the team will travel to Canton, Ohio for a pair of games on Saturday against Ursuline (1:30 p.m.) and Malone (3 p.m.) inside Osborne Hall.
