Hiram Finishes Season With Hard-Fought Effort vs Wittenberg

Kamlowsky Honored As Part Of Senior Night

HIRAM, Ohio – November 2, 2024 – Hiram finished its 2024 season with a 2-1 loss to Wittenberg on Saturday evening at Henry Field, a tough result that still had plenty of positives as the program now moves on to the offseason.

Ahead of the match, the Terriers first celebrated senior Mason Kamlowsky, graduate student Vincent Rienzi and student manager Bricen Jones (also a senior) as part of the Senior Night festivities to cap off a day that included seven hours of fall sports on the Henry Field turf.

Kamlowsky joined the program from Notre Dame College, where he played for three years at the Division II level. He logged three appearances with the Terriers in 2024, which included a memorable start on Saturday evening in one of the team's best performances of the NCAC season.

Hiram played its heart out in the final match of the fall season, as it answered a goal by Jack Pascoal in the 29th minute with a goal by Alex Lineen in the 30th minute. The Lineen goal – which marked his third of the year and tied for the team lead – was set up by a string of passes from Erik Rangel Negrete and Carmine Boscarello. The freshmen trio has all contributed throughout the 2024 campaign, setting the stage for an exciting future for the program.

The first half ended in a 1-1 score, with the Hiram defense doing its part despite being outnumbered in shots (11-6) and corner kicks (6-1).

Those numbered flipped in the second half, with Hiram having more shots (9-7) and corner kicks (3-1). The Tigers ultimately prevailed on a penalty kick goal, with goalkeeper Tyler Jurgensen committing the foul and Kees Ciric scoring his eighth goal of the year.

Hiram will set its sights on 2025 with plenty to look forward to; the team had 14 freshman and 20 sophomores on its roster this year alone.
