Terriers Fall At Ohio Wesleyan

Hiram Loses Against Premier NCAC Competition

DELAWARE, Ohio - October 15, 2024 - The Terriers men's soccer team lost to Ohio Wesleyan, 6-0, at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex on Tuesday evening.

It was a match that featured a flurry of offense from the home team, with the Battling Bishops getting goals from five different student-athletes in 18th, 40th, 48th, 55th, 66th and 85th minutes. Franklin Rodriguez scored his fourth and fifth goals of the year to spearhead the Battling Bishops.

Ohio Wesleyan is now 9-3-2 overall this season, with its 4-0-1 clip in the NCAC ranking second behind only Denison (9-1-3, 4-0 NCAC).

Hiram's Tyler Jurgensen tallied a career-high 13 saves, while Jimmy Zeilmann and Liam O'Brien each had a shot on goal. Blake Kubasak led the Terriers with two shots in the contest.

The rest of the week will give Hiram a great opportunity to prepare for its second-to-last home match of the regular season. The team will practice the next three days before playing host to Kenyon on Saturday at 1 p.m. from Henry Field in Hiram, Ohio.
