HIRAM, Ohio - April 25, 2023 - Hiram put up a fight against the No. 14 team in the country, as three different players scored a goal in a 26-3 loss to Denison on Tuesday evening at Henry Field. It marked the team's final home game of the regular season.
The Terriers notably played well in the fourth quarter, as the Big Red only outscored them by one goal over the final 15 minutes (3-2). Aaron Gardner and Brett Johnson ended the game on a strong note with a goal apiece, while Trey Carter scored the team's first goal of the game in the second quarter.
Ryan Haffey and Gray Perry spearheaded the defensive unit with a combined 5 caused turnovers, while Aidan Griffin had 14 saves and a team-high 3 ground balls.
For Denison, Tommy Quinson (4 goals, 2 assists), Nate Kay (2 goals, 3 assists) and Luke Fisher (1 goal, 4 assists) had the most points.
