HIRAM, Ohio - April 23, 2023 - The Terriers baseball team dropped both of its games on Sunday against Denison, 12-0 and 9-1, at Fishel Field.
Hiram battled hard throughout the day against the No. 14 team in all of Division III, according to D3Baseball.com. Highlighting the doubleheader was a pair of strong relief performances by Stephen Javorek (3 IP, 3 ER) and Jacob Kocuba (5 IP, 2 ER).
On the offensive end, the Terriers got a three-hit performance from Hal Walker Jr. and two hits from Chaisson Marrs, each of which came in Game 2. Mike Midea and Ben Yoder cracked the hit column in Game 1.
The Big Red offense tallied 4 home runs, while the pitching staff had 2Â quality starts. Denison is now 12-0 in conference play this season.
Next up for the Terriers is a doubleheader on Thursday against Muskingum beginning at 2 p.m. from Fishel Field.
