ASHLAND, Ohio - April 1, 2023 - The Hiram STUNT team finished its season with a 22-3 loss to Ashland in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon.
It marks the end to another successful year for the Terriers, who tied a program record with 7 wins and had 5 athletes and its head coach recognized by the conference. Nina Casalandra and Alli Hoffman were also named to the All-Tournament team for their performances over the last two days.
Ashland entered the conference tournament as the number one seed and finished the tournament with a 13-4 record heading into nationals. Hiram scored in all three of its matches against the Eagles in 2023.
For Casalandra and Hoffman, the awards cap off a pair of strong seasons. Casalandra was also named First Team All-Conference and Hoffman wrapped up her second season with the program in style as one of the team's tumblers/flyers.
Hiram will now look forward to the 2023-24 campaign, where it will begin its second season in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and have an experienced roster primed for an even deeper run in the postseason.
