ASHLAND, Ohio - March 18, 2023 - The Hiram STUNT team maintained its consistent form on Saturday, winning against Tiffin (13-2) and falling to a tough Ashland team (24-9) to move its overall record to 5-3.
The Terriers have won at least 1 match on every date of competition this year. The team has also clinched a winning record for the regular season.
Hiram had an early 9 a.m. start time against Tiffin and delivered right away with points in the partner stunts 1, 2, 3 and 4. Shortly thereafter, it picked up another two points in the pyramids 1 and 2.
Following halftime, the Terriers scored on the jumps and tumble routines (2 and 3). The opening game wrapped up with points on team routine 4 (partner stunt 4 and jump and tumble 4) and team routine 2 (partner stunt 2, jump and tumble 2 and pyramid 2).
The first match marked Hiram's first game against Tiffin since the 2020-21 season.
In the second game, Hiram pushed through injuries and gave all it could against an Ashland team that now has a 9-4 record. The team tied in partner stunt 1 before tying in pyramids 1 and 2.
The Terriers wrapped up the day by tying in the jump and tumble (3 and 1), and tying in the team routine 1 (pyramid 1), team routine 3 (jump and tumble 3) and team routine 2 (jump and tumble 2 and pyramid 2).
Hiram will finish the regular season with a game against Ursuline on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
