HIRAM, Ohio - March 11, 2023 - The Hiram STUNT team kept it rolling on Saturday, scoring 4 points against 2-time national champion Alma College before winning, 12-0, against Olivet College.
The results came at the team's first and only home event of the season, with a roaring crowd supporting Hiram, Alma, Olivet and Muskingum throughout the four games between the teams.
The Terriers are now 4-2 this season with 3 regular-season games left to play, all of which are against Great Midwest Conference competition.
Hiram scored its points in three different quarters against Alma, including in the pyramid 2 in the second and fourth quarters. They also scored outright on the jump and tumble 3 (third quarter) and tied in the partner stunt 1 (fourth quarter).
The Terriers doubled the number of points they scored against Alma in two combined matches last year.
The second game of the day saw Hiram score 3 points in quarter 1, 2 points in quarter 2, 3 points in quarter 3 and 4 points in quarter 4. The team showcased its abilities in a variety of routines and celebrated by "ringing the bell" shortly thereafter.
One week separates Hiram from its next matchup, as it will face Tiffin and Ashland next Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. in Ashland, Ohio.
