Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | Hiram SID

The Men's Soccer Team Fights Hard in a 2-1 Loss to Wooster

Terriers led, 1-0, in the Second Half

The Men's Soccer team here at Hiram played a hard-fought game against the College of Wooster and earned a 1-0 lead in the second half before the Fighting Scots managed two goals for the 2-1 victory.   Hiram's freshman goalkeeper CJ Timm had 12 saves in the loss, some of which were of the spectacular variety.

The Terriers looked good in the first half when they played exceptional defense.  They scored a goal in the first minute of the half when sophomore midfielder Cole Koch raced downfield to get reach a pass to the right of the goal, slid down and booted it into the corner of the net for the lead.

Following that goal, Wooster's determination presented itself.  They scored on a penalty kick to tie the game and a late goal to win the game. Hiram fought hard in the second half but Wooster's desire was evident as they controlled much of the half.

The Terriers lost the game but they can take many positives from it as the season progresses.

Come out and support the men's soccer team on Saturday, October 1,  as the Terriers face off against Wabash here at Hiram on Henry Field at 1 PM
